Design Lab Agroforestry

Design Lab Agroforestry looks at design challenges and opportunities for the implementation of agroforestry in the Dutch landscape. We do this in cooperation with private companies and civil organizations that want to take up agroforestry as a business model.

Agroforestry combines forestry and nature management with agriculture, horticulture and dairy farming. Dutch policies are not yet fitted to this kind of mixed farming and large scale examples are lacking. Design Lab Agroforestry wants to change that. We organize design workshops and prepare a guide book for initiators. Basically we want to speed up professional application of agroforestry in the Netherlands.

Design Lab Agroforestry is a consortium of Agrobosbouw.NL, The Outsiders and Circular Landscapes and is supported by the Dutch Creative Industries Fund.
